BlackRock flips to Treasuries: 10-year income on $100K went from ~$900 to ~$5,300 (nearly 6x)
BlackRock's research arm cut U.S. stocks to neutral on Monday and upgraded short-term Treasuries to overweight, ending an underweight it held for most of six years.
When it went underweight in October 2020 the 10-year paid about 0.9%. Now it's above 5.3%. On $100K that's roughly $900 a year of income then vs $5,300 now, nearly 6x.
