Johnson & Johnson ($JNJ) is down 5.65% this afternoon at $248.82 after falling as much as 7.03% intraday, as weak MedTech growth outweighed a third-quarter beat and a guidance raise.
- Johnson & Johnson posted Q3 revenue of $25.4B and adjusted EPS of $2.59, above the $2.52 estimate, and raised 2026 guidance to $101.0B–$101.4B in sales and $11.05–$11.15 in adjusted EPS. MedTech sales rose only 2.5% to $8.6B. Shares opened 3.48% lower and hit $245.19 before a modest recovery; market cap is $599.63B.
- Meta Platforms is up 2.85% at $764.10, rising for a second day after the rollout of its Muse Wonder AI model. It dipped 1.09% early, then climbed as much as 3.81% as Truist raised its price target to $1,000 from $763.
- Healthcare is the weakest sector today at -1.28%. Energy leads at +1.67%, followed by communication services at +1.18%. Technology is down 0.26%, with memory and chip names under pressure after news of an apparent breakthrough from a Chinese chipmaker.
Overall, these are intraday readings, not closing returns; risk appetite is uneven this afternoon. J&J's slide weighs on healthcare, while Meta's AI catalyst helps lift communication services even as technology stays soft.
