J.B. Hunt Q3: ~$624M more revenue, ~$4.4M more operating profit = ~71 cents per extra $100

J.B. Hunt (JBHT) reported Q3 Thursday: revenue up 20% to $3.68B, operating income up just 2% to $247.1M.

The math: ~$624M of extra revenue became ~$4.4M of extra operating profit. About 71 cents per extra $100. Some of that top line is fuel surcharge (ex fuel it grew 13%) and third party trucking and driver costs ate the rest.
