October jobs: +165k is ~2.8x the ~59k consensus and prior-month revisions alone beat that consensus
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday that the U.S. added 165,000 nonfarm jobs in October and the unemployment rate fell to 4.1%.
That print is about 2.8x the ~59,000 consensus. August and September were also revised up by a combined 84,000, which alone tops the entire October forecast. Not financial advice.
