$CRWV stock call: Avoid until $40, buy zone $36 to $40

$CRWV: avoid until $40. I'd only buy at $36 to $40.

71% off the $187 high and 40% below the 200-day
Q2 interest expense $640M on a $626M net loss

I think the low isn't in because funding is now the whole story.

Would you touch it before Q3 earnings?

Bear case: Bernstein cut its target to $51 from $74 on Oct 22 and kept Underperform. It thinks CoreWeave needs about $85B to fund its backlog and only $9B is covered by existing facilities. Its unsecured bonds yield around 15%. The stock fell 10% that day and is down about 29% in October.

Chart + wave read: $33.51 (Apr 2025) to $187 (Jun 2025) was the big move up. Every rally since has made a lower high: $153 in Oct 2025, $138 in May and $117 in August. From $138 I count an A-B-C. A hit $60.55 in July, B topped at $117.49 and C is running now. C = A gives $39.79, right at the $40 IPO price. The Mar 31, 2025 low of $36 is the floor of my zone.

The business is real. Q2 revenue hit $2.58B, up 112%. Backlog reached $104B with $25B+ of new commitments in early Q3. The 2026 guide is $12.4B to $13.2B. The problem is the balance sheet: about $52B of debt against a $30B market cap and only $6.4B of cash.

My plan: no buying at $54.92. I'd start small near $40 and add near $36 only if Q3 shows new financing at better than 15% rates. A weekly close below the $33.51 April 2025 low means I keep waiting. A weekly close back above the 50-day near $84 would also change my mind. This is a multi-year hold, not a trade.
