- Losers: Axon is down 17.28% after lowering its annual revenue growth forecast on a Q3 miss. Atlassian is down 16.11% on a Q2 outlook that barely topped consensus. Natera is down 15.70% on Q3 results and a sudden CEO change.
- Dip history: Axon has 7 comparable drops in 19.8 years, 83% higher three months later (median +25.7%, n=6). Natera rose a year later in all 7 measurable cases (median +92.2%). Both samples are small.
- Breadth: Semiconductors are rebounding from Thursday's AI-regulation rout. The basket is up 4.17%, with 9 of 11 names higher. AMD is up 8.86% and Micron is up 4.83%. Technology leads at +2.25%, and Staples lag at -0.90%.
Friday's tape rewarded raised numbers and punished outlooks that only matched expectations. The open question is whether the chip rebound carries into next week.
