Jobs revised down 16 of 20 months (793K); by coin flip that's ~1 in 169, and one avg revision beats Sept's +29K

Bloomberg tallied this weekend that the Bureau of Labor Statistics has revised its first monthly jobs estimate lower in 16 of the last 20 months, erasing 793,000 jobs since January 2025.

That's about 39,650 a month, more than September's whole first print of +29,000. If revisions were a coin flip, 16+ down months out of 20 happens about 1 in 169 times.
