SpaceX completed its $60 billion all-stock purchase of Cursor on August 14. SEC filings show the company issued about 389.3 million Class A shares for the deal.

The firms signed the merger agreement on June 16 after the SpaceX IPO. Cursor now operates under the same corporate umbrella as xAI.

$SPCX closed down 0.91% at $140.00. This price hides a 6.02% intraday range from a high of $144.02 to a low of $135.51.

Shares fell after the confirmed issuance caused dilution. No new catalyst appeared during the partial recovery from the session low.

The main goal is access to infrastructure. Cursor gains entry to the computing fleet that SpaceX also rents to Anthropic and Google.

SpaceX calls this the largest GPU fleet in the world. The deal aims to make scaled intelligence useful through the Cursor platform.

Owning both models and developer tools creates a tight loop. We must see if this vertical control speeds up product updates for users.

It may simply strengthen the position of SpaceX as the default infrastructure provider. This would apply specifically to AI-native development workflows.
